This BBC documentary series relates to my project because it addresses the topic of family heritage. In particular, this episode is about the TV presenter Reggie Yates, who like me is mixed race. Although his own family history is quite different to mine, his experience of growing up in the UK and limited contact with his family in Ghana has parallels with my experience growing up here but being half Vietnamese; I feel like I know much more about my English side than my Vietnamese side.
It’s also useful to see how the documentary is filmed, as I will be filming some of my interviews.
